Comets Are Deadly

Dinosaurs lived long ago,
For the fossil tells me so.
Stomped us mammals on our heads.
They were big but now they're dead.

THE FOSSIL TELLS ME SO.

It came in from outer space;
Wiped them clean off Terra's face.
Yucatan was where it hit;
Blew them dino's out of it.

Comet hit and vaporized
Into dinosauricide.
Then it got them one and all,
Short & long & wide & tall.

When the comet hit the ground
Must have made a great big sound.
Might have run or might have stayed,
But it got them either way.

Where the K-T boundary's laid
There's i-rid-i-um in spades.
Just below it oil's dumped,
Now we get it with our pumps.

Dominated all the Earth,
Now we look on them with mirth.
Little ones & big ones too,
Held in place with steel & glue.

We need shields, a comet defense.
It's not paranoid, it just makes sense.
Dinosaurs now are naught but dust.
Happened to them; It could happen to us.
